As we approach the end of 2008 it is time to start thinking about W2s. We ask that your employees verify the information on their pay stub. They need to ensure that their address and social security numbers are accurate to avoid any delays in receiving their tax forms. Attached you will find a W2 Employee Change Form. Please utilize this form for any corrections. All changes for W2 purposes must be received by January 15, 2009. Employees may incur a small fee for W2 reprints if changes are not submitted to O2HR by January 15, 2009.
As an added feature O2HR will utilize W2Copy.com. We have found this service very useful in past years. This provides employees the opportunity to receive their W2 electronically free of charge. Employees must register online at www.w2copy.com (O2HR's company ID IW2244) by January 15, 2009, in order to receive a copy of their W2 via email. Once registered they will receive 2 emails; the first is a confirmation email and the second will indicate that their W2 is ready to retrieve from a secure website. The second email will be sent on or before January 31, 2009. No waiting for the mail. Simply signup, wait for email notification, and log on to W2copy.com to retrieve their 2008 W2.
